With over 20 years in the industry, J.R. brings both Southern charm and technical excellence to Seattle. Originally from New Orleans, he has worked throughout Louisiana, Alabama, and Kansas before settling in the Pacific Northwest in 2022.

JR specializes in both modern and classic blonding techniques, including air touch, lived-in blondes, balayage, and traditional highlights. He also excels in grey coverage and blending, polished men’s and women’s cuts, texturizing services like curly and wavy perms, smoothing treatments such as Brazilian Blowout and Keratin Complex, as well as extensions and formal occasion styling upon request.

He actively continues his education through advanced training programs including Hair Bangers with Lisa Walker, Balayage Bootcamp, Masters of Balayage, and advanced technical cutting courses. He’s proud to work in a Green Circle Salon that aligns with his commitment to sustainability.

JR’s goal is for every client to feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly cared for — like they’re in the hands of a professional and a friend. He believes great conversations help him understand your lifestyle and create hair that fits seamlessly into it.

Outside the salon, JR loves travel (he dreams of sailing around the world before 50), practicing Spanish, and cooking culinary creations inspired by Pike Place Market.
